It’s important for you to know why we are here and where we are going. In other words, what is the main purpose of this ministry, what is the vision and direction God has mandated for this church? These are questions that should be addressed and answered in all ministries whenever anyone is making a commitment to become an active part of a fellowship. I believe it is essential for you to know the purpose of this ministry so you can fulfill God’s purpose for your life. Therefore, I am making an effort to ensure you know the purpose of this ministry beforehand. The purpose of Word of Abundant Life Ministries, International is “to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every race, creed and nationality through the teaching of God’s Word.” Our vision statement: “To See People From All Races, Creed And Nationalities Brought Into The Family Of Jesus, To Teach And Develop Men And Women Into Spiritual Maturity by Having A "Heart To Heart" Relationship First With God And Then With Each Other, And To Fully Equip Them To Do The Work Of The Ministry” clarifies God’s mandate for this ministry. Our mission statement summarizes and simplifies this important assignment. It states: Reaching all, Teaching All, and Discipling All for the Kingdom of God! (Matt 28:19) In addition, our motto, “Developing Disciples For His Kingdom” makes a direct statement to our expected results.
It’s obvious this assignment is greater than our abilities and this is why we depend on God to bring it to pass. Our responsibility is to be Committed, Faithful and Obedient to His Word and His calling for our lives. You may say, “I’m not sure what my calling is.” This is another major reason why this ministry exists. The Lord instructed me to establish a “3-D” (Dimensional) Ministry. A ministry designed to (1) To Fully Equip Men And Women Of God In Discovering, Developing And Doing God's Purpose For Their Lives; (2) To Outreach To The World, To In reach To Each Other And To Up reach Unto God; (3) To Lay A Sure Foundation Of The Word Of Faith By Ministering To The Needs Of The Spirit, Soul And Body Of Men And Women.
In addition, the Lord has given us other mandates to establish: These include establishing a Discovery Center; a Development Center; a Resource Center, a Victory Center, a Safe Haven Center, a School of Ministry, a School of Music, a Christian School (K-12), a Production Ministry and a Publications Ministry. He also gave a vision of a "Son Dome" and the LIFE Center of which will be the basis out of which most of these ministries will operate. God also gave me an assignment to establish a Development Institute with seven disciplines of study to provide a means of fulfilling this vision. The seven disciplines are called The Seven Visions of Development. They consist of Personal, Child/Youth, Family, Leadership, Ministry, Community and Kingdom Development.
Each discipline will have selected courses of studies that are tailored respectively for each discipline. I believe in order to impact a city, one must take the city. To take a city, one must be developed and willing to exercise kingdom dominion principles. The first Development Institute will be located in the Western United States (Phoenix, AZ) with future institutes expanding globally. My life vision is greater than the resources I presently have and extends beyond my generation. Therefore, I need every divine connection and the Wisdom of God to fulfill His purpose and destiny for my life.
It’s obvious we need supernatural assistance to accomplish these assignments. However, we stay focused by reminding ourselves “Only Through God, Only With God, Only For God!” It’s not us, but Him. We understand our purpose as willing vessels is to assist Him in fulfilling His plans. This is why we must work together in Faith and Love. Ephesians 4:16 states we are fitly joined together and compacted by which every joint (that’s us) supplies to the increase of itself to one another in love.
As you can see there are many facets to this ministry. However, if I summarize the complete vision of this ministry into one word it would be “DISCIPLESHIP”. This is our main goal; to be obedient to our Lord’s command…“Go ye therefore, and teach (disciple) all nations….” Matt 28:19
I now hope you have a better understanding and insight of this ministry’s vision and goals. My words of encouragement to you are “Discover, Develop and Do” what God has ordained for you since the beginning of time. We have God’s plans and purposes for this ministry, now let us together Grow, Develop and Disciple ourselves and others into men and women of Excellence, Integrity and Purpose in which the overflow of our lives and theirs will IMPACT homes, communities and the world abroad!
